Impact

Building Safe and Compliant Educational Institutions

Project Name

SafeCampus Session on Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response

At KIET Group of Institutions

This large-scale SafeCampus session engaged 500+ students, focusing on building awareness and practical understanding of sexual harassment in educational spaces.

The session introduced students to the POSH framework, including the role of the Internal Committee (IC), reporting mechanisms, and the importance of safe and respectful campus environments.

A key focus was on helping students recognise harassment not only in obvious situations but also in everyday interactions and digital spaces, using real-life examples and scenario-based discussions.

The session also emphasised:

  • Understanding consent and boundaries
  • Identifying subtle and grey-area behaviours
  • Responding safely as bystanders
  • Supporting peers with empathy and responsibility

Overall, the session enabled students to move from awareness to confidence and action, contributing to a safer and more informed campus environment.
